Product Introduction
Glass flakes, as high-performance flaky fillers, are micron-sized flaky materials. The production process involves melting glass of specific composition at high temperatures, blowing or calendering it into extremely thin glass films, and then carrying out crushing, classification and grinding. They boast advantages including excellent corrosion resistance, remarkable impermeability, high adhesion, low shrinkage, and good temperature resistance as well as thermal shock resistance, and are primarily applied to produce heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings (glass flake coatings) for use in extremely severe corrosive environments, such as ship ballast tanks, hulls, underwater sections of offshore platforms, dock steel piles, and inner wall anti-corrosion of various chemical storage tanks, reactors, pipelines and floors.
