Product Introduction
High-performance flaky fillers, glass flakes are micron-sized flaky materials. They are produced by melting glass of specific composition (usually medium-alkali C glass) at high temperatures, blowing or calendering it into ultra-thin glass films, then undergoing crushing, classification and grinding processes. With advantages like excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding impermeability, high adhesion, low shrinkage, and good temperature resistance plus thermal shock resistance, they are mainly used to manufacture heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings (glass flake coatings) for extremely harsh corrosive environments—such as ship ballast tanks, hulls, underwater parts of offshore platforms, dock steel piles, and inner wall anti-corrosion of various chemical storage tanks, reactors, pipelines and floors.
